Class Description
Pattern making is the essential, creative, and technical process of translating a 2D design sketch into a 3D garment by creating paper templates (patterns) for fabric cutting. It involves drafting, flat patterning, or draping to shape fabric for the human body, using key tools like specialized paper, rulers, and pencils to define measurements, grainlines, and notches. Level 1 introduces students to the fundamentals of flat pattern making and garment construction. Students learn how to take accurate body measurements, draft basic slopers, and transform patterns into simple wearable designs. Participants will learn to make basic patterns and use it to cut and sew the garments in a relaxed and supportive environment. Join us to get started with your journey of creating and designing. No prior experience is required. Total- 8 sessions All materials will be provided. Bring a friend/ sibling and get $10 off on both tuition.
