WELCOME TO AARK STUDIO
AARK STUDIO is a calm and welcoming creative hub for individuals passionate about art, fashion, and design.
We offer a collection of signature art and fashion programs, along with thoughtfully curated classes, camps, and workshops that go beyond traditional art or sewing instruction. Our approach blends creative thinking, design exploration, and hands-on making—encouraging students to develop skills, confidence, and a strong sense of personal expression.
At the heart of our studio are signature fashion and art offerings that invite students to explore materials, techniques, and ideas in a more intentional, studio-style environment. In addition, our Literary Studio brings together book club conversations and art-based workshops, creating a unique space where storytelling, literature, and visual expression intersect.
Our studio provides a supportive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to explore their innate artistic abilities, refine their craft, and take pride in their creative journey. Whether you are a beginner or looking to expand your skill set, our programs are designed to meet you where you are—nurturing curiosity, creative confidence, and personal growth.
As AARK Studio continues to evolve, we introduce fresh perspectives, contemporary techniques, and meaningful creative experiences inspired by the worlds of art, fashion, and design. We value feedback, collaboration, and creative exchange, and believe that creativity flourishes when shared.
Let’s embark on a creative journey together.
Richa Misra
Founder & Creative Director

Richa Misra is a fashion, art and design educator and creative mentor with over 25 years of experience spanning the global fashion industry and academia. With a deep passion for art, design, and creative education, she is dedicated to nurturing curiosity, confidence, and creative thinking in the next generation of artists and designers.
Richa holds a dual Master’s degree in Fashion Technology from NIIFT and Business Administration from Symbiosis, India, along with an Associate degree in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design, New York. Her professional journey began in the fashion industry, where she spent a decade working with leading domestic and international brands, including DKNY, Zara, Mango, Banana Republic, Gap and Vardhman—contributing across creative design, technical development, merchandising, marketing, and product development in both India and New York.
For over 15 years, Richa has taught fashion design, merchandising, marketing, and communication design at institutions across the New York area, including Parsons School of Design, the Art Institute of New York City, Berkeley College, Marist College, and Westchester Community College. Alongside teaching, she has led numerous entrepreneurial, art, design, and brand consultation projects—ranging from hands-on workshops and runway shows to art exhibits and community-based creative initiatives.
AARK STUDIO is Richa’s private creative studio in Brier Creek, Raleigh, where she offers fashion, art, and design classes, camps, and immersive workshops for children, teens, and adults. AARK STUDIO grew from her belief that creative spaces should feel both inspiring and safe—places where curiosity is encouraged, confidence is built, and process matters as much as the final work. She envisions the studio as a calm, welcoming environment that nurtures creativity, self-expression, and a lifelong love for art.
Now based in Raleigh, NC, Richa is a proud mom of two teenagers and relocated from the New York–Connecticut area four years ago. When she’s not teaching or creating, she enjoys gardening and drawing inspiration from the natural beauty and vibrant arts community of North Carolina. As both an educator and a parent, Richa believes creative learning should be thoughtful, pressure-free, and deeply enriching. Through AARK STUDIO, she continues to offer meaningful, enriching creative experiences that bring people together through art.
